Home Extension Freedom Begins Today at Baytree Conservatories

Following regulations laid on the 10 September 2008 the new planning rules coming in effect today mean that the majority of homeowners will no longer need to get planning permission to extend their home. The changes allow people to extend their home up and out for the first time without needing to pay the costs (up to £1000) or wait weeks to get planning permission to start building.

About 80,000 households will now find it easier to improve their homes because they no longer have to go through the bureaucratic hurdles of the planning system.

Bay Tree Launch new display stand at the Pageant Of Power

The Cholmondeley Pageant of Power took place in the beautiful grounds of Cholmondeley (pronounced Chumley) Castle, near Malpas, Cheshire. The Pageant Of Power attracts a huge variety of vehicles ranging from cars to power boats, motorcycles and aeroplanes. Bay Tree used this event to launch its new display unit that presents a range of bi fold doors and conservatory frames to the public. Despite the showers the stand was well received attracting a large amount of visitors. A full range of display conservatories and doors is available 7 days a week to visit at the Bay Tree Showroom in Chester.

BAY TREE CONSERVATORIES ANSWERS A DIY SOS!

Bay Tree Conservatories answered an SOS call from the BBC in March, providing a solution to a problem faced by crewmembers on popular home improvement show DIY SOS.

Under tight time constraints Bay Tree Conservatories installed a set of french doors from the esthetique range, which was manufactured by Manchester based James Harcourt network member Sureframe, at the Stockport DIYSOS property.

“We had to pull out all the stops to get the French doors installed in time for the recording deadline of the show but the team at Bay Tree Conservatories was more than up to the task,” commented Peter Urquart.

“Knowing the importance our customers place on delivery times we always endeavour to exceed expectations and this occasion was no different. I’m pleased to say that the final installation looked fantastic and that the job as a whole is testament to the quality of our products and the professionalism of the team.”

The Stockport installation on DIY SOS is the third James Harcourt has contributed on, following product appearances on installations in Bath and Nottingham. DIY SOS has an audience reach of 8 million people and Bay Tree Conservatories’ handiwork can be seen during the first programme in the new series scheduled for broadcast in June.
